Day 13 – 2nd October 2005
When I woke up I thought I´d try and sort out my Tourist Card, so I went to the Tourist Info desk, but it was shut. Luckily a guy pulled up next to it and asked what I needed, I told him, he took me to the immigration office. It was shut. Oh well, I´d have to wait until tomorrow. He did put my mind at rest though, he said it wouldn´t be problem getting it, either here or in La Paz.
I decided I had nothing to do and nothing planned, so I took a walk around the town. Or should I say along the town. It is one long road. That is it. The town is really a road. With nothing open as it is a Sunday and no-one is about. At this point I`m thinking to myself, this is going to be a long year.
Actually the town is a massive focal point for whale watching between January and March, where Californian Whales come to breed every year. However this not being whale season, things just weren´t kicking.
Eventually things began to come to life, taco stands opened up and I decided to have myself a monster feed as nothing else was doing. So for about US$4 (there isnt a pound sign on this keyboard) I ate until my heart was content. As my heart was content, my mind followed, and I was a happier person.
I did a few boring things and went on net to try work this photo thing (still having problems, may need help of someone to upload for me. Anyone…) with no luck, then decided I needed to get out of town so bought another bus ticket, this time an overnight bus to La Paz, the capital of Baja California South.
At nine p.m, the bus left, I was on it, and that was my day – and night.
Theres more coming I´ve just run out of time. Dont worry, they are more positive!
You run into Speedy Gonzalez yet?
Blimey… just taken me ages to update myself on ur travels. Sounds like you had a brilliant time and hope you are still enjoy the travelling malarky!
