San Luis Potosi: Moving Again
Day 34 - Sunday 23rd October 2005
I neded to leave Zacatecas. I had been meaning to get out of the town for a few days, but the lure of one moeday had kept me there. I made myself pack up and get to the bus station, but after buying my ticket the bus never showed up.
That left me with two options, firstly, wait in the bus station for 5 hours before catching a bus, and secondly, get on a bus straight away to San Luis Potosi. I went to Potosi. While on the bus I got chatting a very attractive Mexican girl (married) who was studying to be an English teacher. We chatted for most of the journey and after we arrived her husband picked her up and they gave me a lift into the town centre.
I checked into a hotel and went straight out to procure food as I hadn“t been able to eat much so far during the day. 1/2 chicken rice and frijoles (refried beans) later, I felt good enough to have a wlak around the centre. It turned out to be another attractive colonial place. In one of the plazas an impromptu orchestra had started performing, and I listened to that for a while, bought an ice cream, used the internet & watched some more street clowns performing.
Having spent 5 nights in a dorm room, I wanted to get some decent kip in my own room, so I eventually stopped wandering around, retired to my quarters, watchged some cable TV and fell asleep.

Kee: Hope the hangover is better by the time you read this! I had heard about the hanging but didnt know who it was. Name doesnt ring any bells.
Still in Mexico City, falling way behind with photos and that, but there is so much to do and the hostel I am in has free internet but old computers so cant upload photos for the moment.
