San Juan Del Sur: Staying on the Beach
by Roy
Days 122 & 123 – Thursday 19th & Friday 20th January 2006
The two Argies left early on Thursday morning, one to go to Bluefields on the Caribbean coast of Nicaragua and the other to meet his sister in Costa Rica, so I was left on my own. I couldn´t stay in the same hotel as it was a three-bed room and frankly it was a shithole, so I moved my things into the hostel down the road.
I had a ticket for Saturday morning to San Jose, Costa Rica leaving from a nearby town. I would have moved onto another place had there been somewhere decent to go, but as there wasn’t I decided to hang around in San Juan for the two days, chilling out on the beach, reading and catching up with the blog.
Therefore there really isn’t much to write about these two days. I mean what can I say, I was on a picture perfect beach on the pacific coast for two days with nothing to do but to do nothing. Can’t complain, won’t complain. I did manage to see the sunset which I had previouly missed! Pretty impressive stuff.
I said my farewells to Nicaragua on the Friday night by drinking some more Flor de Caña, but I didn’t overindulge as had to catch my first bus of the day at 6am the following morning.

Pistol: No plans on the date to come home yet, but I do know I will be watching the world cup in Brazil. The Spanish is coming along nicely, I can order more things than burger and chips nowadays! Great memories!
Hey,
I’m good haven’t been up to nothing anywhere near as fun as you. Just been working, borin! I’ve moved outta mum’s now staying with my uncle down by the beach but let’s face it the British beach is shit, especially compared to the pictures of the beaches your seeing. Looks like the suntan is coming along nicely tho!
