Panama City: Adios Central America

by Roy

Day 140 – Monday 6th February 2006

My time in Central America was up. I had my flight at 6pm, and spent most of the day with Yami saying goodbye and dragging her around the city trying to get a few things done before heading to the ariport.

Yami and her friend Alicia came to see me off at the airport, which was cool but a little sad, I had got to like her a lot in the week I had known her. We will keep in touch, and who knows what will happen in the future.

After leaving Yami at the gate I went through the x ray machine and realised I still had my penknife in my pocket. What a bloody mistake. They were never going to let me fly with it so I had to just say fair enough and leave it with the security guards. I had grown so used to having the penknife in my pocket that I didn’t even think about not being allowed it on a plane. So sorry Mum and Dad, that knife you got me when I was about 5 years old in still in Panama City airport!

I flew an hour to Bogota, Colombia and waited for a few hours before taking my connecting flight to Buenos Aires.
