Day 168 – Monday 6th March 2006
Although I was a little tired from the previous evenings activities I wanted to do something a little active, however I didn’t really have a clue exactly what. In the end I caught a bus out to the Hotel Llao Llao on the Circuito Chico and walked some of the trail I hadn’t managed to reach the previous Saturday on my bike.
Going past the places I had seen on the bike was pretty boring but we soon passed those and got into unchartered territory. I left the bus at the Hotel Llao Llao which was every bit as spectacular as the guidebooks had said. It also had a golf course which made me hanker for a game, but I will just have to wait until I get back to England I think.
Instead of golf I settled for a walk, first along the deserted road and then on a trail through a forest which eventually brought me to a lookout point over one of the lakes. I sat down here for a bit and then carried on along the trail. All in all I was walking for a couple of hours without seeing another person until I reached the main road through the park. I say main road, but after walking along it for another couple of hours and seeing about 10 cars it wasn’t exactly the M25. As I was starting to get a little concerned about being stranded a bus came along and saved the day. I hopped on and within the hour I was back in my hostel.
