The original blog – “roylloydjones” – started out as an almost daily journal from my 11 month backpacking trip around Latin America in 2005/06, recording events as I travelled by car, bus, train, plane, rickshaw, canoe, sail boat, speed boat and ferry, eventually taking this route from Northern Mexico to Patagonia.
After finishing the Latin America trip, I took an opportunity to move to Barbados – thus my backpacking days ended, and life as an expat began.
Nowadays I mainly post about life as an expat in the Caribbean, and the occasional holiday.
