Granada: Hanging from the Trees with a Hangover

Day 115 - Thursday 12th January 2006

Given the events of the night before, it was probably not a wise move to book a canopy tour on which I would be dangling 60 feet in the air before zip-lining through the trees. But in my infinite wisdom, that it exactly what I did.

Granada: Sampling the Local Produce

Day 114 - Wednesday 11th January 2006

A lay-in would have been ideal after the travelling nightmare of the day before, however the parrots in the hostel had other ideas as they began screaming as loud as they could at about 5am, scuppering any chance of more sleep. Tell me this, why would anyone want a pet that screams and squawks at 5am. Especially when you are the owner of a hotel.

Granada: Killer Journey

Day 113 - Tuesday 10th January 2006

I felt I was running out of time with still three countries to traverse before reaching Panama for my flight to Buenos Aires. The boys and I also felt that Honduras didn’t really have much more to see, so we decided to make our way to Nicaragua, more specifically the town of Granada.
